Title

Common Core State Standards:  Students with Significant Disabilities

Description

As Louisiana moves toward implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), teachers who work with students with significant disabilities will need to align their instruction with the CCSS as well.  The Louisiana Department of Education is currently working with a U.S. Department of Education funded project, National Center and State Collaborative (NCSC), to examine issues related to alternate assessment in alignment with the CCSS.  NCSC is also developing curriculum and instructional materials that align with the CCSS.  For further information about this project, visit the National Center and State Collaborative website at http://www.ncscpartners.org/
