Louisiana Autism Quality Indicators for Schools The Louisiana Autism Quality Indicators for Schools was designed as a tool to measure overall quality of programs serving school-aged students (3-21 years) with autism spectrum disorders and to assist schools, districts, and families in improving the quality of programs available to these students. It is meant to serve as a self-improvement tool which can assist in identifying areas of strength as well as areas in need of improvement.

LASARD Training Modules
The LASARD (Louisiana Autism Spectrum and Related Disabilities) Project has developed electronic training modules on topics related to educating students with autism and related disabilities. All modules have a pre- and post-tests. These modules will be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience (through 2009). The module topics are as follows:
· Transition Practices for Students with ASD
This module will inform learners of best practices in transition across the age span of individuals with ASD (autism spectrum disorders) including early childhood, school-age, and adult transitions.
· Behavior Intervention Practices for Students with ASD and Related Disabilities
This module will inform learners of best practices in behavior intervention across the age span of individuals with ASD.
· Inclusive Practices for Students with ASD and Related Disabilities
This module will inform learners of best practices in inclusive educational settings for students from K-12th grade.
· Social Skills Instruction for Students with ASD and Related Disabilities
This module will inform learners of the most current practices in social skills instruction for students with ASD and related disabilities.
